Our Journey
From Vision to Action
Pamoja Do Good began with a simple but powerful belief: people don’t lack potential, they lack opportunity.
For over 20 years, Kasim Badar Saad has worked across different fields, from social entrepreneurship and business development to creative work and start-ups. Along the way, one thing became clear. Many young people and communities have the ideas, the energy, and the will to succeed, but they often don’t have access to the tools, skills, or support needed to move forward. This is where the journey of Pamoja Do Good started.
Seeing the Gap
Through years of experience and working closely with people from different backgrounds, Kasim saw a repeating pattern. Young people were finishing school without clear direction. Others never had the chance to access education at all. Many were ready to work, but lacked practical skills or opportunities.
At the same time, communities were full of untapped potential. Local ideas existed. Talent existed. Motivation existed. But there was a missing link between potential and opportunity. Instead of waiting for solutions, Kasim decided to help build them.
Building Pamoja Do Good
Pamoja Do Good was created as a platform to turn ideas into action.
The focus was never just on giving support, but on creating pathways. Pathways that help individuals learn, grow, and become independent.
From the beginning, the approach has been simple:
- Work with communities, not for them
- Focus on practical solutions
- Build long-term impact, not short-term aid
This has led to programs that support youth in job planning, provide skills training, create working spaces, and promote entrepreneurship. It has also led to initiatives that support people with disabilities, introduce digital learning to children, and promote sustainable agriculture.
Each step has been built with one goal in mind, to create real opportunities that last.
A Different Way of Thinking
Kasim’s work is shaped by a mix of experience in business, creativity, and design thinking. As a songwriter and creative thinker, he understands the power of storytelling and human connection. As an entrepreneur, he focuses on building practical and sustainable solutions. By combining these perspectives, he approaches challenges in a way that is both creative and grounded. This way of thinking allows him to see possibilities where others see limitations, and to turn ideas into actions that benefit real people.
Why It Matters
For Kasim, this work is not just about projects or programs. It’s about people. It’s about the young person who gains their first skill and starts to believe in their future. It’s about the family whose life improves through small but meaningful support. It’s about communities growing stronger from within.
Every initiative under Pamoja Do Good is built around this idea: when you empower one person, you create a ripple effect that reaches many more.
Looking Forward
The journey is still growing. Pamoja Do Good continues to expand its work across Uganda and East Africa, building partnerships, creating new programs, and reaching more communities.
The vision remains clear: to create a future where access to opportunity is not limited by background, location, or circumstance.
